Hey ladies. Good news: someone invented a "beer for women" so you can finally consume the drink that's supposedly just for men. Who knew?
Czech beer brand Aurosa's super smart idea to create the #BeerForHer was not well-received on social media after the product launched in the UK last week.

"Aurosa was born to prove that women can succeed anywhere without having to adapt and sacrifice their natural femininity," reads a product description. The website also states that Aurosa wants to redefine the perception of beer, stating that women have been "disregarded in the beer industry".
"She stands for all phenomenal women, she stands for all their successes and beautiful moments. She is here to remind them how important and exceptional they are. She is here to celebrate femininity in all its forms," the description continues.
After launching in the UK last week, the product has been attracting wry comments from beer-drinking women.
One woman posted a photo of several different beers, asking if any of it was deemed suitable for women.

UPDATE: July 21, 2017, 3:40 p.m. BST Statement from Aurosa
In a statement, the founder and CEO of Aurosa said that there's a "sexist misconception that beer is just for guys" in the same way that the "cosmopolitan is considered to be for girls".
"What our message carries is different, we are here to support those women who like to celebrate their femininity and elegance, who wanta nice glass of beer with their dinner and who enjoy something elegantly packaged," said Martina Smirova.
"That is all. We are giving them choice, we are giving them diversity and there should be nothing shameful against that," Smirova continued.
