Getting clear answers from the The eroticism batailleWhite House's about what the heck is going on with Donald Trump, Russia, and the state of our democracy has proven difficult. But, when times are tough, we can always turn to Seth Rogen.
The actor has proven he's willing to do anything it takes to glean some insight into the Trump administration, and by "anything it takes," we mean he's willing to slide into the DMs of Donald Trump Jr. himself.
*shudder
*Rogen appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday, where he explained the story behind his first DM to the son of the president, and the two joined forces to invade his inbox with pleas of help.
SEE ALSO: Guy takes a photo with Seth Rogen every year for a good causeRogen's sent three messages to Trump Jr. before his appearance on the Late Showcouch, each getting more specific than the first. The Canadian actor asked for Trump Jr. to persuade his father to go back to television—and even asked for him to begin looking into Michael Flynn's ties to Russia.
"He iced me on that one, which is shocking because I tried to be polite," Rogen told Colbert.
While on the couch, the two comedians attempted to slide in once more together. Rogen sent a message warning Trump Jr. that Colbert would slide in, and lo and behold, they did.

"Sup. Hanging with @SethRogen. Why don't you return his DMs? How about we all chill together and burn one? Don't tell @HeyJamesFranco," Colbert wrote.
Oh, and those little checkmarks next to the timestamp means that Donny Jr. has probably read these important messages.
"If that doesn't work, what will?" Rogen said.
Great question—and now, we all wait with bated breath and fingers crossed.
