One bar in New York City had a dream of taking the meme trend, make it not kill people, and even get people drunk. Barcelona Bar has begun selling Tide Pod shots (without the detergent).
The Barcelona-style shot bar is known for their extensive list of themed shots inspired by pop culture, so it's no surprise that one of the biggest (and dangerous) challenges is offered by them in liquid form.

The NYC-based bar is popular for their Harry Potter shot (in which they use a 'wand' for fire to appear) and Top Gun shot (accessories included).

But, they're not the only ones having fun with the Tide Pod craze. Molly's Irish Grille & Sports Pub in Pennsylvania was the first to serve up the creation. Their invention started a sub trend of bars across the country and an actual ban from Facebook.

"The shot is made of blue Cuaraco, Bailey's, and vodka with orange food coloring. It's made by layering the ingredients carefully," Charles Patric, owner of Molly's told CBS Philly.
These shots join the growing list of actually edible Tide Pod-inspired foods like Tide Pod doughnuts and sushi.
Honestly, what can possibly become the next big thing to come out of this challenge?
