Break out your sunglasses,和訳 eroticism Pete Souza fans. The latest book cover has arrived and it's a lot.
On Wednesday, the former White House photographer, who is known for using his extensive Obama photo archive to clap back at Donald Trump's every awful move, revealed the cover for his upcoming book, Shade: A Tale of Two Presidents.
As an ode to ~shade~ the cover shows our former president wearing some shades of his own. But not a pair of boring old sunglasses, or the beloved Obama-era Ray Bans — no, he's wearing patriotic shutter shades. You know... the glasses Kanye West made famous during the good old Graduationdays, when he wore them in the music video for "Stronger." Yeah.

"If OBAMA: An Intimate Portraitis a coffee table book, then SHADE is an every table book," Souza captioned his Instagram reveal. "If you’ve been following my Instagram feed since the last inauguration, then you have an idea what this book is about (but of course there will be some surprises)."
According to the book's publisher Little, Brown and Company, Shadewill examine the contrasts between Obama and Trump as presidents "through a series of visual juxtapositions." The book will include more than 100 of Souza’s iconic Obama shots, placed alongside media headlines, tweets, and quotes from Trump's first 500 days in office.
My goodness, what a show we're all in for. The book's initial press release notes that Souza "didn’t know what it meant to 'throw shade'" until Instagram followers and media outlets (like Mashable) enlightened him it's what he'd been doing, which is hilarious. But now, Souza's declared that what some people call "throwing shade" he simply calls "telling the truth."
If you're dying for more Trump shade, the book is available for preorder now. Otherwise, it'll be here Oct. 16.
And honestly? I just hope Souza checked with Obama before selecting this particular cover image, because the former president could very well have been saving it as the cover for his future mixtape.
