ANYWAY, thankfully we can show you a couple different ways to get those nasty email notifications (or whatever notification you want) off your lock screen.

From your lock screen

1. Find the notification on your lock screen

2. Swipe left on it to see your options, and tap "Manage"

3. Tap "Deliver Quietly"

Tap the option that says "Deliver Quietly" Credit: screengrab / apple

As it says, "Quiet notifications appear in Notification Center, but do not appear on the lock screen, play a sound, present a banner, or badge the app icon." Essentially, these notifications will be hidden from your lock screen. This will not hide all notifications, however— only notifications for that specific app. For example, hiding your email notifications will not cause your iPhone to hide text message notifications.

From your settings

1. Go to your settings

2. Tap "Notifications"

3. Find the app you want to hide notifications for and tap it

4. Under "Alerts" tap the "Lock Screen" option until the circle underneath it is unchecked

Again, you'll have to do this for each app you want to hide notifications for, but the process is simple and shouldn't take you long at all. And just like that, your notifications will be hidden from your lock screen.
