The actor/rapper will be playing Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, which will undoubtedly breathe some inspiration into the sketch writers at SNL. Glover is also the creator and star of Atlanta, and had one of the hilarious leading roles in Dan Harmon's comedy series, Community.
Around the time he landed his role on Community, Glover was also working as a writer on 30 Rock, a comedy series created by SNLlegend Tina Fey. Before that, he was a part of the sketch comedy group Derrick Comedy, so he's no stranger to the work he'll be doing on SNL.
Glover has also dabbled in stand-up comedy and most recently won a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance for the Childish Gambino song, "Redbone."
