Buckle up,Watch Project Power Online Transformers fans. Looks like the Autobots and Decepticons are touching down much sooner than we anticipated.
In a surprise Wednesday announcement, Paramount Pictures scheduled an absolute truckload of Bumblebeepreviewscreenings for Dec. 8—nearly two weeks before the Dec. 21 nationwide release.
The best part? These showings are all over the United States and Canada (not just in the typical entertainment hubs of New York and Los Angeles), and totally open to the public. The only catch is that it's only happening for one day, and all screenings will happen at 7:00 p.m. local time.
A prequel to the 2007 movie that kicked off the franchise,Bumblebeechronicles the pioneer arrival of Transformers on Earth. Focusing primarily on Charlie, played by Hailee Steinfeld, and her peculiar VW Beetle, Bumblebee, this looks like yet another Herbiereboot, but if Herbie was an extraterrestrial badass. (So yeah, basically awesome.)
To see if Bumblebeewill be showing near you, you can check out the official, handy-dandy theater locator here.
Tickets are on sale now at varying prices. Each hosting theater will have only one screening at exactly 7:00 p.m., so availability is sure to dwindle quickly. Those who do snag a ticket will see bonus content in addition to the feature film, and walk away with a Transformers toy from Hasbro.
Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, but only time will tell if Bumblebeecan save the Transformers franchise. Until then, we've got our fingers (and wires) crossed.
