Google confirmed its annual hardware event is gothic eroticism polyset for Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. PT, which will be livestreamed to the public.
According to invites sent to the press, the company plans to announce a slew of products including new Pixel phones, a next-generation Chromecast, and a smart speaker.
While Google already announced the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 early last month, details were vague — only mentioning price and availability. The only difference between the Pixel 4a(which has already been released) and the Pixel 4a 5G is likely the 5G connectivity. That means the focus will probably be on the Pixel 5.
It's also very likely that the smart speaker that Google is unveiling is the new Nest. When images of the speaker were leaked back in July, Google immediately responded by sending out its own official promotional image and video of the device.
Without any specs to back up the visuals though, we can only conclude that the successor to the Google Home will be a lot more portable. That means you won't have to keep it plugged in for it to work. It also appears to be available in two colors: blue and grey.
SEE ALSO: Here's what Google's Pixel 5 will probably look likeAs for the new Chromecast, well, those rumors have been surfacing as far back as March. Internally known as "Sabrina," the streaming device will reportedly be powered by Android TV and come equipped with a physical remote (unlike its predecessors, which are controlled by a smartphone). As with the smart speaker, Google remains tight-lipped on what to expect for its next-generation device.
Regardless, the end of September is only a couple of weeks away — kind of terrifying, I know. But it means we won't have to wait all that much longer for Google to reveal its new lineup.
