Around the country people are hugging each other and offering some kindness and support in the aftermath of a bitter campaign and a surprising election night. There's even a hashtag circulating to make sure America gets the message: #MakeAmericaHugAgain.

In St. Louis, a Buddhist priest was a comforting sight with his "Free hugs" sign and a shoulder to cry on, the St. Louis Post-Dispatchreported.
However, it's not all hugs and good vibes the day after Trump was declared president.
Anti-Trump protests have sprung up around the country, including in the Bay Area, Portland, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago and beyond.
Keep the hugs coming, America. We need them.
