Robert Kirkman's Thief of Thievesis the next Skybound comic to get the video game treatment. The publisher's interactive arm has partnered with Rival Games to tell a story about Celia, protégé of the comic's master thief, Redmond (aka Conrad Paulson).
SEE ALSO: 'Stranger Things' is going where no Netflix show ever has: Comic-Con's Hall HFans of the comic know that Celia is introduced early on, via flashback, as a wannabe thief with tons of enthusiasm but minimal street smarts. The game will chart the path she follows as she goes from neophyte to master criminal and right hand of the world's most talented thief.
Rival Games is a younger, Finland-based studio that formed in 2014. The team's current project, The Detail, is an episodic police procedural with a strong comic book influence in its art style and a Telltale Games kind of vibe in its branching, choice-dependent story.

Thiefwon't be out until 2018, but the trailer above offers a look at both the art style and the heist-planning and execution that is presumably central to the game. Skybound will be showing Thief of Thievesoff to San Diego Comic-Con attendees later this month.
