Carrie Brownstein's best-selling memoir,DMCA Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl, will form the basis of a new series for Hulu.
Confirmed to Mashable as in development, and first reported by Deadline, Hulu has ordered a pilot episode of Search and Destroy.It's a new project from Portlandiaco-creator, Sleater-Kinney guitarist and Peabody Award winner Brownstein, along with Annapurna Television.

A New York TimesNotable Book, Brownstein's book details her childhood growing up in the Pacific Northwest, then moves into the burgeoning underground feminist punk-rock movement of the '90s, to Brownstein's experience with Sleater-Kinney, whom legendary music critic Greil Marcus would call "America’s best rock band."
Annapurna’s Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, and Ali Krug will also executive produce the pilot, says Deadline —plenty of strong talent behind the scenes.
Brownstein and Portlandiaco-creator Fred Armisen will launch the eighth and final season of their comedy show on Jan. 18 on IFC. Then, we're just going to impatiently sit on our hands until Search and Destroydrops.
