Warning: Spoilers are sex with maid videocoming.
You know someone is a good character when they're still being referenced years after their death.
And if there's one dead character who is spoken about more than any others in Game of Thrones, it's Ned Stark.
SEE ALSO: When will 'Game of Thrones' return for its final season: Our predictionThe original Stark MVP may not have had a chance to tell Jon Snow about his true parentage, but he did leave a few clues behind him that are only now coming to light with the sweet, sweet benefit of hindsight.
Take this theory from Redditor duh_metrius about the way Ned named his children, for instance:
CARD ID: 258630
In case you needed a reminder, Jon Arryn was the former Lord of the Vale who fostered both Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon when they were teenagers.
Whether intentionally or not, Ned Stark left a clue about Jon Snow's true parentage by naming him after Arryn -- Ned was in no way related to the Lord of the Vale, but the man treated him like a son. Ned treated Jon in the same way.
Of course, the real credit for this hint goes to the ultimate MVP, George R. R. Martin.
When there's this level of detail in Martin's books, it's really not that much of a surprise that the things take a while to write.
