When a hockey player scores on Friend's Mother 4 (2025)an opponent's empty net, there's typically a tempered celebration. The game is over, the win is sealed -- everyone can relax.
When that scoring hockey player is a goalie, however, you gotta sound the hell off like its the best goal you've ever seen in your entire life. The Stampede, a Tier 1 junior hockey team from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, understand this unwritten rule.

We've got everything here: the announcers going absolutely nuts, horns blasting off, lights flashing, club music blaring, the whole team jumping up and down, a row of high fives from the bench, and Berdin doing fist pumps from the knee for at least 20 seconds straight. You can't watch this video and not feel like you should be celebrating too.
We are happy to report that the goalie goal continues to be the best event in all of sports.
