Stephen Colbert will host the 2017 Emmys,Dear Utol: Catfish Episode 46 and he's already getting political.
“This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys, period,” Colbert said in a statement, a direct reference to the Trump administration's false claims about inauguration attendance. “Both in person and around the globe.”

We look forward to honoring television’s best while entertaining audiences with the creative energy and sharp comedy of Stephen Colbert.”
This will be Colbert's first time hosting the Emmys.
Longtime Colbert fans are likely hopeful that this September event may be like the iconic set the comedian did at the 2006 White House Correspondents Dinner with President George W. Bush.
The 69th Emmys will take place on Sept. 17.
