Andrew Yang does whatever he wants.
Some days the Democratic presidential candidate sends a painfully vague tweet,Watch Internal Affairs Online other days he skateboards into rooms, and on Tuesday, after opening a new office in Manchester, New Hampshire, Yang decided to awkwardly spray whipped cream straight from a canister into supporters' mouths as they kneeled on the ground.
In a stunt that's probably never been pulled by another presidential candidate, Yang channeled his inner "dad trying to act cool in front of the kids at a family barbecue" and popped open a can of whipped cream. He then proceeded to shake the can and spray the cream into the mouth of a kneeling supporter. The placement of the canister and the people's heads, however, wasn't ideal.
"That's a full service presidential candidate," Yang exclaimed, while the supporter dealt with the extra cream that was falling out of his mouth. Yang went on to say the team opened the office "in style" and said, "New office opening is complete!" Then, things got even more bizarre.

While shaking the whipped cream can again, the supporter that just received a mouthful of whipped cream yelled "who's next?" Yang then walked over to another supporter who kneeled to get in on the whipped cream action. Yang yelled, "Yeah!" as he sprayed the can, but immediately after filling the dude's mouth his campaign manager, Zach Graumann, finally stepped in after watching uncomfortably behind him and discouraged the behavior.
One can only imagine what was going through the mind of Yang's staffer in that moment, but he looks pretty mortified by the rogue whipped cream spraying. I mean, it's likely all in good fun but if you think about it, the whole thing doesn't look so great. It's not really "safe for work" if you know what we mean.

Is there an ice cream bar or something at this office opening? Why in the world does Yang have whipped cream in hand in the first place? Is this how he celebrates milestones?
Here's hoping other candidates learn from this awkward moment and keep whipped cream cans off the 2020 trail.
