At 3 a.m. on Korea ArchivesSunday, Mark Ross learned that his younger sister Eliza Fletcher, 15, had been killed in a car crash.
Even though it was the middle of the night, Ross understandably wanted to be with his mother, and so a kind pal agreed to drive Ross to Detroit.
According to Inside Edition, Trooper J. Davis pulled their car over for speeding at about 100 miles per hour. When Davis discovered that the driver's license was suspended and that Ross had an outstanding warrant, he subsequently towed their car.
But then Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant David Robison arrived, and things started looking up.

When Ross was pulled over, he thought he would be in huge trouble.
"I knew I was going to jail due to a petty warrant. The police called Wayne county and they refused to come get me because of the distance. I explained to the officer that my sister had died and that I needed to get to my mother ASAP," he wrote.
"He saw the sincerity in my cry."
When Robison arrived and saw how heartbroken Ross really was, he decided to help Ross out.
"I broke down crying and he saw the sincerity in my cry. He REACHES OVER AND BEGAN PRAYING OVER ME AND MY FAMILY. He offered to bring me 100 miles further to Detroit because they towed the vehicle."
Robison drove Ross to Detroit. The gesture meant everything to him.
"Everybody knows how much I dislike cops but I am truly grateful for this guy. He gave me hope."
Ross has been documenting the past traumatic few days via Facebook posts and Facebook lives.
Ross shared some texts he exchanged with his younger sister just a few weeks ago.
Ross has also posted several Facebook lives over the past few days -- the following one is a bit upsetting:
Ross' mother Jamika Mcclain started a GoFundMe page, asking for donations to help with funeral costs.
"I'm asking for a donation at this time to help support the burial of my baby," Mcclain wrote on GoFundMe.
"The support would be gladly appreciated with love. Thank you all."
