It's another day of sun for Emma Stone!
976 ArchivesLa La Landstar continued her Oscar frontrunner status at the Golden Globes Sunday night, taking home the statue for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.
"Damien wanted to make a modern original musical, that's sort of a crazy notion," Stone said of Damien Chazelle's vision for the film.
Stone got emotional in her acceptance speech, thanking her parents and noting that she moved to Los Angeles this same week 13 years ago. She began her journey there, like so many, as a dreamer.
"This is a film for dreamers," Stone said. "I think that hope and creativity are two of the most important things in the world and that's what this movie is about. So to any creative person who's had a door slammed in their face...or anybody anywhere, really that feels like giving up sometimes and finds it in them to get up and keep moving forward, I share this with you."
Ryan Gosling is so proud right now.
